AIRPORT ENGINEER/CONSTRUCTION MANAGER - posted August 10, 2010
Airport Engineer/Construction Manager - Fort Myers, Fla. This position is responsible for the management and coordination of large and small airport projects for the Southwest Florida International Airport and Page Field Reliever Airport. Work involves the coordination of staff, consultants and contractors and involves high-level negotiations. Excellent communications skills a must. This position is responsible for keeping all airport engineering and construction projects on schedule, under budget and fully coordinated. General knowledge of engineering and construction principles required. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field and three (3) years project management experience preferred. PE license, AAAE credentials, airport project management experience all a plus. Starting salary approximately $50,000, depending on education, credentials and experience. Excellent benefits package.   • Apply in Person: Southwest Florida International Airport, Human Resources. Enter the terminal on the 2nd level. Follow the signs for concourse C (located past the ticket counters) through either the East or West Atrium (doors 2 and 5). Directly across from the entrance to Concourse C between the PGA Tour Shop and Quiznos Subs - is an alcove with two elevators. Take either elevator to level 3. The receptionist will direct you to the Human Resources department.
